Controversial plans to build a "supermosque" on the doorstep of the London Olympics will be blocked by the Government.
While the story may sound discriminatory for some, the article does seem to at least raise some legitimate concerns about the Super Mosque.
The group behind the Super Mosque has faced criticism over their alleged ties to a Wahhabi-influenced Islamic ideology. Further, the proposed site for the Mosque is near Olympic installations, which could be a reason to deny the building permits for the Mosque.
It is important to note that their is a Christian building that is being torn down due to its proximity to the Olympic sites.
Finally, this story demonstrates the rift that exists within Islam, given that some Muslims are opposed to the Super Mosque due to their refusal to incorporate other branches of islam.
