"Ontario students face a growing risk of bullying, violence and injury because they are not supervised well enough outside class, say Ontario's principals.
In a stark warning, the Ontario Principals' Council reports that new limits to how much time teachers can be asked to supervise students outside class – at lunch, at recess, in halls and boarding buses – leave schools scrambling to keep kids safe.
Principals themselves often pinch-hit up to hundreds of minutes a week, and children in Grades 7 and 8 are sometimes assigned to supervise younger children during lunch.
Moreover, the council says principals across the province report having called off at least some after-school homework clubs, detention halls and even breakfast programs for lack of adult supervision. "
This doesn't apply to everybody, but its a good read anyways.
Ok, Atleast at my school, bullying next happened. You never see big fatty grimey kids rocking black tims go up to some little kid and spit the words "GIME YO LUNCH MONEY KID!". Things like that do not happen anymore. When they're fights at school, they are not because of bullying. The school board says they are bullying because it looks worse. And by making it look worse, the government spends more money on programs to decline this bullying. Get my drift?
Bullying happens because of the parents at home. If the parents would get their act together and be better role models for their children, then bullying wouldn't be a problem. Whenever there are voice speakers at my school, mostly everyone just found it as an opportunity to listen to their iPods or get some shut eye.
Until next time,
Lemery the King.
