Did any of you know EA was founded by a former Apple staff member?
Gamasutra has taken a comprehensive look at the history of number one games publisher Electronic Arts. Did any of you know EA was founded by a former Apple staff member in 1982 known as Trip Hawkins? The original name for the founded company was Amazin' software, then moulded into SoftArt and finally Electronic Arts.
"Flush with cash from Appleā€™s IPO, Hawkins knew that it was time for him to make his move. "Right on schedule, I resigned from Apple in January, 1982, but they convinced me to stay a bit longer. I finally left for good in April and on my own I incorporated EA on May 28, 1982."
