There are a lot of interesrting aspects to Music Collecting. From today's newest music to old piano rolls, and old blues from the early 1900s, there are sincere devotees. Some people collect styles of music, or record labels, or Promotional Copies that were used for radio station promotion. You name it, it is collected and sought after with energy! Sheet Music and Song Books were created for the playing of musical instruments, but are sought after for the pictures of the artists on the front cover. I have sent tons of vinyl record albums around the world, to amazing countries like Thailand or Indonesia!
It all had a beginning and my beginning was in high school and the sound of a voice! And what a voice, even after Johnny Maestro still singing for over 5 decades. There was a young man John Mqastrangelo, who in 1957 was Johnny Mastro and lead singer of The Crests, an Italian boy in a black and Puerto Rican Group. The Crests had many hits with the big one " 16 Candles ". After a short solo career, he teamed up with the Del Satins who became the back up group for Dion when the Belbonts went on their own. Ironicall the group was not enough and they searched for an additional group and became the first large rock group. When the manager mentioned the size of the group at the office, someone remarked that trying to sell the book would be like trying to sell The Brooklyn Bridge. This group has been together for decades and hit it big with the song " Worst That Could Happen. Johnny recorded 1 45 while still with The Crests as Johnny Masters. He became Johnny Maestro upon the launch of the solo career and to today can hit those high notes and hold them. I love the sound of his voice!!!!!!!!!!!!!
