article image2 charged with burning woman to death

By Viga Boland     Feb 15, 2007 in Crime
Life on the streets has ended for a hopeless drug addict who's been burned to death by two women.
Some might say they did her a favour given the life 49-year-old May had been leading. She was a longtime crack and heroin addict, and even though she'd received help via a city program for the chronically homeless, she still spent all her time using drugs.
Then she had the misfortune to come across these two women who really had it in for her when she couldn't pay back $150 her boyfriend owed them. They threw her down and punched her and later in the day, came back to hurt her some more. They stripped her naked after dragging her behind a trash container to take her cash.
May told the police what these two had done and they took their final revenge on her. They forced her into a car, took her to a stadium parking lot, doused her with gasoline and set her ablaze.
The two women have been arrested and charged. Their plea? Not guilty of course!
Life on the streets. It's a life most of us don't know and wouldn't want to know. At least for May, she won't suffer any more.
