Billy cox,15 was gunned down in his own house in the third fatal shooting in south London in less than 2 weeks.
Billy is a mixed race with a white father and Thai mother and lives all together along with 12 year old sister Elizabeth, a ballet dancer.
He was shot death yesterday afternoon at his home which was first seen by his sister as she ran into his room soon after hearing the shooting and found him dead..
His murder is not believed to have been a case of mistaken identity like that of Michael Dosunmu.
The property was sealed off and forensic officers continued searching the property and the body was still at the scene where a post mortem examination will be conducted tomorrow.
Residents have given an information that they have seen upto 3 of Billy's friends arrived at the flat around 3.30pm yesterday and the forensic officers found no signs of forced entry at the boy's home and it is likely he knew his attackers.
Detectives are investigating whether the shooting was the result of a row that got out of hand or some kind of feud or local dispute.
More armed police officers are to be deployed to London's gun crime hot spots following the fatal shootings.
A special task force is also being set up to help investigate the three shootings and two other murders, all of which have happened in south London in the last 10 days.
Met Police Commissioner Sir Ian Blair said his force was absolutely determined to stop the situation and he also spoke to the Home Secretary John Reid regarding lowering of age at which the mandatory five-year sentence for carrying a gun can be imposed.
