11 hurt after woman, 80, on way to renew license crashes into Deerfield DMV

Woman crashes car into DMV, shortens line by 11 people.
At Deerfield Beach, an 80 year old woman departing the Department of Motor Vehicles office she went to renew her driver's license, and when she accidentally bashed her car into the building on Wednesday, hardly abasing several people's, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Therese Smith the 80 year old from Boca Raton, was slowly getting out of a parking spot when suddenly she stepped on the gas too hard, propelling her 90' Mercury Grand Marqui over a concrete parking block, onto the sidewalk, and through a metal parking sign and into the windows of the DMV office, said Sgt. Mark Wysocky.
Seven people were injured during the incident and taken to North Broward Medical Center with minor injuries.
