A New Potato Chip Maker from Japan that uses Microwave cooking.
For healthy potato chips without the need of cooking in oil, there is a microwave potato chip maker from Japan. It has a slicer that comes with the potato chip maker. Once the slices are cut, it is placed in a rack as shown below and cooked in the microwave for 6 minutes.

The result is fresh, sodium free, chemical free bowl of crispy chips. The sold unit has a microwaveable rack and slicer.
It is a novel idea, my Indian friends cook Pappadam in Microwave which is healthy, but never thought of this microwave cooking of potato chips. Have only baked potatoes in Microwave. Wonder what will happen if placed flat in a microwaveable plate.
Will you try this if available?
