Iranian leader dismisses U.S. charge

By Micah The Auto Freak     Feb 12, 2007 in Politics
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad dismissed accusations that Iran was arming Shiite militants in Iraq in an interview made public Monday and said Iran opposed any kind of conflict in Iraq.
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad dismissed all of claims of which the united states has put forth. It is extremely clear that Iran is supplying iraqi insurgents with weapons of destruction. If you read this article there are many references to a poor american control in iraq. He states that america has failed and acts as though we are (america) trying to put the blame on someone else(iran) even though we believe that not to be true.
"I think Americans have made a mistake in Iraq and unfortunately are losing," he added. "This is a shame for Americans of course, and that's why they are trying to point their fingers to other people and pointing fingers to others will not solve the problem."
"Such accusations cannot be relied upon or be presented as evidence," he said. "The United States has a long history of fabricating evidence. Such charges are unacceptable."
Iran is clearly showing its unfriendliness towards americans so I can only conlude that they are truly supplying insurgents with weapons to kill iraqi people and hurt the goal to fight terrorism in Iraq. Do you think the attacks are fueled by Iran? What can be done to resolve this issue in terms of stopping insurgents from attacking?
