article imageOhio students arrested for unauthorized snow day announcement on high school website

By Micah The Auto Freak     Feb 12, 2007 in Crime
Two students at an Ohio high school were arrested last week and accused of illegally accessing their school district website to announce an unauthorized snow day.
A very interesting article about two high schoolers in ohio who had planned to get the day off from school. On that day the administration at school had already posted a one hour delay but the two students (16 and 17 years old) got onto the school network, not by hacking but with a password. These students published a statement sent to all parents and students that school was closed due to inclement weather.
The younger boy in juvenile court with delinquency by unauthorized use of a computer and by reason of records tampering with records. The older boy was charged with delinquency by reason complicity to those crimes.
As a result these two boys are probably regretting there ideas to call of school illegally and hope the justice system will have mercy on them.
