Did Simon Cowell Rig American Idol?

By Chris V. Thangham     Feb 12, 2007 in Entertainment
Simon Cowell rigs American Idol Show by allowing one of his singers of his record label company, to pass the early rounds of American Idol Show.
Music mogul and reality show judge Simon Cowell has been accused of planting a British pop star who was once signed to his record company in the second round of AMERICAN IDOL.
Tom Love, the contestant for the recent American idol shows has made it through to through in the early rounds of Idol show after wowing the judges in Seattle. But that is where the problem started for him and SimonCowell. Tom love at the end of his audition said to Simon Cowell the following: "I was at BMG Records in London at the same time that you were there."
Tom Love used to be a member of the British boy band, North and South, which scored four hit singles in England on Cowell's record label before splitting in 1998. But Cowell claims he can't remember him well. However, the other contestants feel that is not the case, one contestant told the British Newspaper,"It's really suspicious that they were at the same record company. Simon claims he doesn't remember him but there's a feeling among some people that this could be a fix. "
They say a career in the States could be worth 100 million Pounds ($195 million) so there's a lot at stake and people aren't happy.
Lowe doesn't know how the future will hold for him in this controversy, but he now works for tourism in Boston area and also sings with a a band called Tommy and the Tigers.
I don't know who to believe, it could well be Simon had forgotten him, he must be seeing 1000s of people, so he can't remember them all.
What is your take on this, do you blame Simon Cowell for this incident?
