article imageJohn Edwards Blog Has A Very Refreshing Hands-Off Policy

By timmack     Feb 11, 2007 in Politics
After reading so many articles about the controversy involving some bloggers on the John Edwards Blog, I just decided to check it out for myself. And I have to say that, I very much liked what I've seen, at least so far.
No one put me up to this, and I'm not saying to vote for the guy because I like his blog. But, I must say, John Edwards is not micro managing anything that anyone is saying on his blog, and I find that very refreshing. Just to give you an example of what I"m talking about, I posted on his board myself, just to see what would happen.
I picked a very controversial topic just to see if any censors would stop it, but they didn't. I'm sure that most of the people that are running for President wouldn't be too wild about the topic of a Naval blockcade of Iran coming up.
I'm sure that a Naval blockcade of Iran is a current option that we now have on the table, but for sure, you don't hear any politicians talking about it at the moment. But my topic, "I'm In Favor Of A Navy Blockade Of Iran" was allowed to be posted without any problem.
I was able to blog that story there, because John Edwards allows each individual to have both their own blog ,and diary on his web site. In fact John Edwards even allows you to make your own poll on the blog. And as you can see, I created a poll and asked viewers if they favored a Naval blockcade of Iran.
I even put three links to three of my published stories to back up my opinion. And, again, that was not a problem for the John Edwards blog. Anyway, I don't expect everyone on the John Edwards blog to agree with me, and I don't expect to agree with everyone there either, but it is nice that you can voice your opinion there without anyone getting bent out of shape.
