OLED technology produces self-luminous displays that do not require backlighting. These properties result in thin, very compact displays. OLED (Organic light-emitting diode) brings the best quality picture. The only problem with the technology at this point is that it will only work for 5,000 hours of commercial TV viewing.
The TV's are incredibly thin at 3 millimetres. They are very cheap to manufacture and use less power. From 3-27 inches at this time in regards to the size, but can easily be increased.
So if the life span of the TV's can be improved, then expect these to take over LCD and Plasma technologies.
