Wizardry at Harvard: Physicists Move Light

By Ziad Chatila     Feb 9, 2007 in Technology
In a quantum mechanical sleight of hand, Harvard physicists have shown that they can not only bring a pulse of light to a complete halt, but also resuscitate the light at a different location and let it continue on its way.
Scientists at Harvard have managed to continue to push the limits of physics by expanding the control that we humans have over the most basic elements that surround us.
One potential application of the increased control on light, as per the article, is on computers and similar technology.
