PS3 not so hot?
Research and Markets has published research which indicates that the PS3 will not have the same appeal as the PS2 but will go on to have the largest installed base out of all its competitors.
The PS3's late European launch and a strong head-start are some of the reasons cited as to why the PS3 may not be so successful this time around.
"Research and Markets has published a report that says while the PS3 will eventually have the largest install base, it won't have nearly the same impact on the market that the PS2 did, due to the console's late launch in Europe and the 360's sizeable head start.
The report also points out that Nintendo remains the leader in competitive pricing strategies, which is a very genteel way of saying that they sell stuff for cheap."
