article imageItalians to play soccer with no fans

Only six soccer stadiums in Italy meet security requirements, meaning that league games in other arenas will be played without fans.
25 stadiums were said to be unfit. Florence, Naples and Bologna arenas were among them.
The ban came after a police officer was killed in a riot after a Serie A game. The Arenas were deemed unsafe.
Security standards have said 5 stadiums will be played with fans and 5 will be played behind closed doors. Other stadiums will be checked out this coming week.
All night matches are banned in the lower divisions of it and Serie A.
They want the stadiums to have closed circuit surveillance cameras and turnstiles at the entrances.
They have a 17 year old in custody for the murder of the police officer and they also want stiffer sentences for anyone committing a crime against an officer. They want to raise the term from 5 years to 15 years.
Italy midfielder Gennaro Gattuso said empty stadiums are a disappointment. We can't talk about soccer and playing it without the fans. "How enthusiastic can you get?"
I am sure this will not go over well. They will have to hurry to get stadiums passed on the security standards.
