School teaches in Islamic School that Jews are Apes, Christians are Pigs and the Head refuses to remove the alleged book.
The principal of an Islamic school has admitted that it uses textbooks which describe Jews as "apes" and Christians as "pigs" and has refused to withdraw them.
Dr Sumaya Alyusuf confirmed that the offending books exist after former teacher Colin Cook, 57, alleged that children as young as five are taught from racist materials at the King Fahd Academy in Acton.
Dr. Sumay Alyusuf is the Principal of the school funded and run by the Government of Saudi Arabia. Dr. Sumaya Alyusuf was asked in a BBC interview about these books and whether the above facts are true. She says that they have these books and it is the teacher's discretion whether they can be taught such things. And says, that these sections are misinterpreted and that there are lot of good chapters and teaching material in that book. When shown the offending items, she was asked whether she will withdraw the book, she said no and they don't teach hatred against Judaism or Christianity.
Louise Ellman, MP for Liverpool Riverside and chairman of the Jewish Labour Movement, accused the school of inciting racial hatred and said: "This whole situation is unacceptable. It is incitement. It is part of a deliberate Saudi initiative to install Wahabbism extremism among Muslims and in the rest of society.
This has been ongoing for a number of years and they are teaching this to five and six year old kids. And it was pointed out by a fired teacher Mr. Cook who has taught English in that School for 19 years. He says it is poisoning student's minds with hatred. Only question, why did he wait 19 years to report this incident, he should have notified the authorities much earlier.
Dr. Alyusuf claims the books are not taught currently and teaches an international curriculum developed by her. Also, in the interview she was asked whether non-believers in Islam are condemned to hell, she said that they don't teach that only fundemantals of Islam to assert their identity.
I think she should remove those texts as soon as possible, because if she insists on keeping it will lead to escalation. What is your view on this?
