Vitamin D may reduce risk of certain cancers

By soome2000     Feb 7, 2007 in Health
Two new vitamin D studies revealed the possibility of preventing up to half of the cases of breast cancer and two thirds of colorectal cancer.
"The work was conducted by a core team of cancer prevention specialists at the Moores Cancer Center at University of California, San Diego (UCSD), and colleagues from both coasts."
The researchers found that 2,000 international units of vitamin D3 daily, plus spending 10 to 15 minutes a day in the sun cut the rate of breast and colorectal cancer by fifty percent.
This is good news, and quite simple. Better run out and get those vitamins to reduce, hope the sun is shining.
