Gmail is available for all Public for all users and countries.
Gmail is now a public beta. Go to, and look for "Sign up for Gmail" or go to this page. After almost three years of invitation-only access, Gmail gradually opened in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Egypt and now everywhere.
Also Gmail's mail fetcher seems to be available for everyone.
Till now, Gmail was available only for selected users, and also only in a few countries. Now, Google has made it available for everyone. So, if you don't have one try to get one has 2GB Capacity. Plus another great benefit is Gmail's mail fetcher facility, where you can get e-mails from all other e-mail accounts of yours. So you can access all your e-mails at one place.
I checked this to make sure this invitation is open, so tried to start a new account, it works. Let me know how it works from your countries.
