A Toronto jewellry outlet Gemstar was robbed of $5 million in diamonds.
Thieves broke into Gemstar and stole $5 million in diamonds sometime between Saturday night and Monday morning.
The thieves cut phone lines and got in through a locked door and to the 2nd floor. The security system was disabled by the cut phone lines.
Two safes were cut open and the cut and uncut loose diamonds were taken.
Police are not releasing any details of what they know. They are asking the public if anyone seen anything to contact the police.
You see stuff like this in movies, you never think of it happening close to home.
Whoever did this knew what they were doing and where the diamonds were.
