College football kicker Mario Danelo, who plunged over a cliff to his death last January was drunk according to a report released by the coroner's office.
The 21 year old University of southern California player was found dead at the bottom of a hill a on January 6th. The indication was that he had fallen the more than one hundred feet down the rocky cliff accidentally. Toxicology reports detected high levels of alcohol in his blood , at 0.23 he was nearly three times the legal limit in California, no drugs were found.
The promising young kicker was not likely to have taken his own life according to friends. The report also couldn't ascertain Danelo's state of mind before his death, but he "would have had to scale a wall to get to the strip of land before the steep drop of about 150 feet while under the influence of alcohol."
Lesson to be learned here? Don't get loaded and wander around really high cliffs.
