Van Stolen With Child Inside In Oakville

Never leave your car and unchild unattended while your warming your van.

A woman went out to start her van, put the baby in its car seat and ran back into the house for a moment. The father came out to get in the van and noticed the van with the baby inside was gone. It had been stolen. The father jumped into the 2nd car they had and chased the van. It collided with a 3rd car. The thief ran by foot and stole another car. Police found the car in Etobicoke. The baby was not hurt. The mother is not going to be charged. Sgt. Greg Sullivan said "Never leave a child unattended in a car for any amount of time, even for a brief seconds, it could turn into tragedy like today,"Luckily it all turned as well. The vehicle was involved an accident and the child is fine. Could have been worse." Police are looking for the thief.
