The first films of W&G have underperformed so badly that plug has officially been pulled on the much loved characters by Dreamworks.
A fourth planned film, Crood Awakening, co-written by John Cleese, will now be a Dreamworks production with no Aardman involvement.
The move has come after Dreamworks announced they wanted to concentrate on computer animation and make around two films a year.
A US version of the studio's Creature Comforts TV series is to be broadcast later this year
I for one loved the little characters and hope to see them back.
