Yzerman signs up for Team Canada GM job

By Brandigal (Donna)     Jan 31, 2007 in Sports
Steve Yzerman is now the general manager for Team Canada's hockey team.
Stevie just recently retired from the Detroit Red Wings and is was hired as a vice-president for the team.
As a player he went to the Olympics twice. He has three world championships, a World Cup, Canada Cup and world junior championship.
And now he can add to his resume, General Manager of Team Canada.
He will be picking the teams that will represent Canada when they go to Moscow in April and May and hopefully he will be picking the team for the 2010 Olympics.
He is one of the greatest players of all-time and he is now doing the job that Wayne Gretzky did in 2001 when they won the world championship.
Stevie now has to select a coach for his team.
I am sure he will do a fantastic job. He is a team player and highly respected by a lot of players.
Can't wait to see him put together another winning team for Canada.
