U.S. suspended all spare parts sale of fighter jet F-14 assuming it could end up in Iran
United States halt all its sale of spare parts of retired fighter jet F-14 due to a news that Iran is
in search of sensitive parts of F-14.America had sold
79 F-14 jets to IRAN in 70s when IRAN was an alley
IRAN is the only country which is still using the jet
DLA spokeswoman Dawn Dearden said that the freeze covered all F-14 parts and was in place "given the current situation in IRAN".
Until last week U.S. had been selling parts via
Defense Logistics Agency( DLA).
The decision comes at a time of rising tension between Iran and US over Irans nuclear programme
