Yes, the band is reuniting for at least one performance
Well, we've talked about it here on Digital Journal in the past and rumors have been flying around the net about a possible reunion by The Police, and now, news had landed that the reunion WILL in fact happen and the band will open the 49th Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on February 11.

This news only fuels speculation that the band is planning a reunion tour.
"The Police join a stellar list of past Grammy Awards opening acts, which includes reunions and once-in-a-lifetime performances," said a statement from the academy.
The band refuses to confirm or deny the rumors of the reunion and 2007 tour. 2007 marks the 30 year anniversary of the release of one of the band's biggest hits "Roxanne." Their label, A&M records did say that they would "mark the year somehow."
"It is our intention to mark the anniversary by doing something special with the band's catalog of songs. Needless to say, everyone is hopeful the band will support our plans and while early discussions have taken place, nothing has been decided," said the statement.
This could be huge. For fans of the band a reunion tour is highly anticipated although thought to be impossible to actually happen. All fans can do is watch the Grammys enjoy the moment and hope for a 2007 tour. Great news!
