More signs of global warming

A leaked portion of a report from the United Nations regarding climate change warns that the Great Barrier Reef and snow in the southeatern alps of Australia are in jeopardy.
"Australia's Great Barrier Reef could be 'functionally extinct' within decades, warns a leaked portion of a major United Nations report on climate change."
While the report indicates that "warmer, more acidic seas" threaten to bleach the coral reefs, it is also concerned that "if seas continue to warm, the coral could be killed outright."
We are seeing signs of global warming throughout the world. From declining caribou populations in northern Canada to the breaking off of large pieces of the ice shelf in the Arctic, it would seem that global warming is a problem we simply cannot ignore.
We have seen some governments making commitments to cleaner energy resources, and while these initiatives should help, we all can help my making efforts to reduce our energy consumption and making more environmentally friendly choices.
