The accuser of shamed pastor, Ted Haggard visits Haggard's church . .
In a widely publicized case last year, Pastor Ted Haggard of the 14,000 member New Life Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado, was accused by a male prostitute of a three-year relationship, which involved paid sex and use of drugs.
Mike Jones, who reports he is no longer a prostitute, says he was greetly warmly by the church members, who thanked him for exposing the pastor and helping him to come clean about his hidden life.
After publicly admitting his crime and resigning from the church, Haggard also resigned as president of the National Association of Evangelicals.
During his apology to New Life's congregation, Haggard begged forgiveness for his accuser and asked church members to thank Jones for his role in exposing the pastor's faults.
Haggard and his wife, Gayle, have since completed a counseling program in Arizona and are back in Colorado Springs, according to the Denver Post. They couple is awaiting direction from a panel overseeing Haggard's "restoration".
This is an interesting story and great example of forgiveness - so central to Christian philosophy.
