The Duck that was shot earlier and survived in the refrigerator for two days, endured another brush of death during the surgery.
The ring-neck duck survived being shot and spending two days in a hunter's refrigerator -- and now she's had a close brush with death on a veterinarian's operating table.
The one-pound female duck stopped breathing Saturday during surgery to repair gunshot damage to one wing, said Noni Beck of the Goose Creek Wildlife Sanctuary.
We read this story about the Duck that was shot and survived after two days in
Unicorn's article. And it survived again after another brush with death, the second time the duck stopped breathing during surgery. The Veterinary doctor did a CPR and after several anxious moments it breathed again. The duck is recovering now, but still not fully healed yet. The doctors don't want to do further surgery because it seems the duck is sensitive to anesthesia. We will keep our fingers crossed and see that it survives. This duck seems to have a number of lives, but I am glad everyone is chipping in to save its life.
