Huntington - Iconic rock group ZZ Top will be bringing their extensive catalog of hits to The Paramount in Huntington on Long Island, on August 23.
Originally from Texas, the rock trio was inducted into the prestigious Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004. They are the longest-running major rock group with the original line-up intact. It is comprised of Billy Gibbons on vocals and guitar, Dusty Hill on keyboards, vocals and bass, and Frank Beard on drums, percussion and backing vocals. Their career in the music industry spans nearly 50 years and their sound encompasses such genres as rock, blues and boogie. They have 11 gold records and seven albums certified platinum to their credit.
Their Eliminator album from 1983, released on Warner Bros. Records, is still their most successful studio album to date, and it has been certified diamond, for sales in excess of 10 million units.
ZZ Top continues to have a packed tour schedule each year, which has lead to them performing in such continents as Europe, Asia, as well as North and South America.
