A Columbia Nashville recording country artist, Farr’s single has been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). This is the lead single from his sophomore studio album, Suffer In Peace, which was released on April 28, and it subsequently debuted in the Top 5 on the Billboard 200 all-genre charts.
With the release of his debut studio album in 2013, Farr landed at No. 2 on the Billboard Top Country Albums charts and No. 5 on the Billboard 200 all-genre charts, thus making him the only male solo country artist in the last decade to have his first two albums debut in the Top 5 on the Billboard 200 charts.
“A Guy Walks Into a Bar” was co-penned by such songwriters as Melissa Peirce, Jonathan Singleton and Brad Tursi and it is his third chart-topping country single, after his previous hits “Redneck Crazy” and “Whiskey In My Water,” both of which were from his breakthrough studio album, Redneck Crazy.
His follow-up radio single is “Withdrawals,” which the singer himself describes as an “anguished break-up song,” via a press release.
