Las Vegas - Country trio The Band Perry were big winners at the Academy of Country Music awards that took place on April 6 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
The Band Perry is made up of siblings Kimberly, Reid and Neil Perry. They bested out such nominated country groups as Little Big Town, Lady Antebellum, Eli Young Band and Zac Brown Band.
Neil Perry remarked in their acceptance speech, "Wow. Thank you all for this great honor. We would like to thank our hard-working label and our hard-working team. We love you. Thank you for everything that you do. "
"ACMs this is a mountain-top moment in the life of The Band Perry. We appreciate it so very much, because we started at the bottom of the mountain 15 years ago. Our sweet grandfather gave us some great advice back in the day, especially in the nights where there were more people on stage than in the crowd listening. He would always say 'kids, this ain't no hill for a climber.' We accept this for the climbers tonight. Thank you so very much," Kimberly Perry added.
Their latest single "Chainsaw" is escalating on the Billboard Hot Country Airplay charts and it has been well-received by Digital Journal.
