Sister Bliss of Faithless talks ‘Faithless 2.0’ package (Includes interview)

On celebrating the 20th anniversary of “Faithless 2.0” with an anniversary package, she said, “It feels like a great trip back into our lives through our music, and also into the future with the remixes from the hottest names in dance music.”

When asked to reflect upon the past two decades, she said, “A lot of great times, a lot of hard work and a lot of friends made all over the world.”

On their plans for the future, she said, “We have a UK and European sold-out arena tour to look forward to, and hoping very much to continue into 2016 and get to the parts of the world we haven’t reached yet.”

Throughout their career in the music industry, Faithless has sold over 15 million records and they have headlined festivals and tours worldwide.

When asked what moments they are most proud of, she said, “I guess I’m most proud of the fact that we made the music we wanted to make, without compromise, and that it has touched so many people, and endured over time.
I was also very proud last week to receive an award at the DJ Awards in Ibiza last week for Best Live Performance at the Radio 1 Ibiza weekend closing party. I was quite overcome when I had to make a speech.”

Each day, they are motivated since they are still searching for that perfect beat! “And the fact that we haven’t got forever on this earth, so it’s important to make good and meaningful use of the time we have here,” she said.

For females who wish to go into electronic dance music professionally, she said, “Have plenty of self belief, be really passionate about music, and be prepared to work very hard- it’s better to be prepared to expect exhaustion, jet-lag and lonely times alongside the highs of DJing and producing.”

For their fans, she said, “An enormous thank you for coming with us on this truly fantastic journey over the last 20 years – whenever you’ve joined the party I salute you for keeping the Faith!”

She concluded by defining the word success. “I think ‘success’ is the fact that we made our music on our own terms, and it is still being listened to, and enjoyed, in a world that is just saturated with a huge avalanche of music.
I also would define ‘success’ as the fact we can, thankfully, live pretty normal lives outside of music,” she said.
