Rory Feek from the acclaimed country duo Joey and Rory revealed that his wife Joey is "ready to come home," thus implying heaven.
His wife, Joey, has been battling cervical cancer for quite some while now. She is only 40 years old and in hospice care. They have a 22-month daughter named Indiana.
Rory noted that Joey's pain has been unbearable and her morphine dosage has increased substantially over the last few days. In his emotional blog post, he shared to their fans and followers the following message, "I'd like to tell you that she's doing great and is going to beat this thing. But I can't. "
Rory revealed that his brave wife held his hand on the previous day, and told him that "she's ready to come home."
The country duo are nominated for a 2016 Grammy award for "Best Country Duo/Group Performance" for their mellifluous vocal collaboration "If I Needed You." The song itself garnered a rave review from Digital Journal.
Throughout their musical career in country, they have been named "Top New Vocal Duo of the Year" by the Academy of Country Music (ACM).
