This marked their seventh career album, and it won for “Best Rock Album.” It was released last summer on the record label, Warner Bros. Records, and it went on to debut at No. 1 in 21 different countries worldwide, thus making it the group’s first chart-topping album in the United States.
Muse bested nominated albums by such rock acts as James Bay, Slipknot, Death Cab For Cutie and Highly Suspect.
Drones went on to garner rave reviews from such media outlets as Rolling Stone Magazine, USA Today, The Sunday Times and even The Telegraph.
Muse is comprised of Matt Bellamy on lead vocals and guitars, Dominic Howard on drums and background vocals, and Chris Wolstenholme on bass, backing vocals and guitars. The band formed in 1994, and they have released seven albums, which has sold 17 million units worldwide. They have won multiple awards and accolades include Grammy awards, an American Music Award (AMA), as well as the O2 Silver Clef, which was presented by Roger Taylor and Brian May of the classic rock band Queen.
