Review: Waterloo Revival soars on new ‘Front Row’ country EP (Includes first-hand account)

It opens with upbeat and fun “Summer Thing,” which has a liberating vibe to it, and it is followed by the mellow and laid-back “I Could Get Used to This.”

The album’s best track is the unapologetic “That Damn I Didn’t Give,” which is filled with raw emotions. It is lyrically and sonically powerful.

“Backwood Bump” showcases their country-rock side, and it is more commercial than the other tunes on the album. The title track “Front Row” is a gorgeous ballad, and it closes with the mid-tempo “Meet up in the Middle.”

The Verdict

Overall, Waterloo Revival delights on their newest Front Row EP. All of the songs on here are catchy and well-crafted. They put their hearts in their music and it shows. Waterloo Revival is one of country music’s most underrated musicians, and 2016 ought to be their year. This EP garners 4.5 out of 5 stars.
