Review: Travis Rice upbeat and fun on new ‘Women, Water and Beer’ single (Includes first-hand account)

Rice allows his rich, baritone voice to shine through this upbeat and fun tune. This single is an ode to life in a small town and it is made for the summer. It has a liberating and calming vibe to it, and many of his country listeners can relate to its message. His voice is reminiscent of country singers James Otto and Dylan Scott meets country duo Brooks and Dunn.

He wrote “Women, Water and Beer” by himself and it was produced by Noah Henson, who has produced Kane Brown’s new EP Closer, and he serves as the guitarist for country star Brantley Gilbert.

A native of Tennessee, Rice has come a long way from the small town bars to the bright lights of Music City. He has shared the stage with such artists as country rapper Colt Ford, Craig Morgan, songwriter Rhett Atkins, Little Texas, as well as Con Hunley. His greatest musical inspirations include Garth Brooks, Randy Travis, as well as Travis Tritt.

The Verdict

Overall, Travis Rice delights on his new single “Women, Water and Beer.” He showcases a tremendous amount of potential to become the next big male star in country music. His music is fun and autobiographical. It earns 4.5 out of 5 stars.
