article imageReview: Ryan Cabrera back with new solid single 'House on Fire' Special

By Markos Papadatos     Oct 21, 2014 in Music
Ryan Cabrera is back with his brand new radio single "House on Fire," which features a refreshing, pop sound to his music.
A platinum-selling singer-songwriter, Cabrera has captured the hearts of his audience thanks to such songs as "True," "On The Way Down" and "I Will Remember You." He will release his new single "House on Fire" on October 22. It is a track from his forthcoming studio album, which is his first CD in nearly seven years. His album is slated for release in early 2015. He will be releasing it on his new boutique label, Dynamite Music, which was founded by Mitch Davis and Marco Liuzzo, in a partnership with Caroline, the independent division of Capitol Music Group/UMG.
"House on Fire" has an infectious beat that will make the listener clap along to it, and his vocals are reminiscent of such singer-songwriters as Andy Grammer meets American Idol winner Phillip Phillips ("Raging Fire"). It has garnered the early support from the radio airwaves, such as SiriusXM, among other stations.
"They can try to take us we won't go, We could be the kings and queens of hope, When everything is bought and sold, In the end, we're the only thing that's gold," Cabrera sings.
The Verdict
Overall, Ryan Cabrera's latest single "House on Fire" garners 4 out of 5 stars. It showcases a different direction than we are used to, but it is still quite promising. It might take a listen or two to get used to his new sound, but it instantly grows on the listener. His music is superior to the majority of the songs that are played on contemporary stations.
