Review: Reba McEntire spellbinding on new ‘Just Like Them Horses’ video (Includes first-hand account)

This tune is a moving homage to her late father, Clark McEntire, who passed away in 2014. She puts her heart and soul into this bittersweet vocal performance. Her mother makes a cameo in the song’s music video, which adds to its appeal.

“She held him close, then she kissed his face, he said it just has to be this way, yours is the heart I’ll always keep I’m not gone even if I leave,” McEntire sings, in the opening verse.

The Verdict

Overall, Reba McEntire tugs at the heart with her new music video for “Just Like Them Horses.” Her fans ought to grab a box of Kleenex since they will need it to get them through this music video. It is a fitting farewell to her father, and many listeners and anybody who suffered a major loss can relate to it. McEntire proves that she is still country music’s queen. It garners 4.5 out of 5 stars.
