Review: Max Frost phenomenal at artist showcase at Atlantic Records in NY (Includes first-hand account)

Frost opened his set with the title track of his EP “Intoxication,” which featured his crisp vocals and electric guitar playing, coupled by drums and keyboards.

It was followed by “Blind Fool,” which had a bluesy vibe to it and it built up into a soaring, rock tune, with a pulsating beat. “Thank you guys very much,” he said, after taking a sip of water. “Thank you for coming out. I appreciate you guys for making it here.”

He continued with the haunting ballad “Let Me Down Easy,” which consisted of minimal guitars and keyboards, and it was a controlled vocal performance by Frost. Towards the end, he and his band members had the audience clapping along with him.

Frost picked up the pace of his set with the drum-driven “Paranoia,” where he showcased his impressive whistle register, and after a sip of water, he switched over the acoustic guitar to perform his hit single, the upbeat and fun “White Lies,” which was a fan-favorite.

The Verdict

Overall, Max Frost was sensational in his live showcase at Atlantic Records in New York City. Judging from his charismatic performance, his new EP sounds very promising. He earned 5 out of 5 stars.
