article imageReview: Linkin Park rocks on new single and video for 'Final Masquerade' Special

By Markos Papadatos     Aug 12, 2014 in Music
Wantagh - Linkin Park released their third single "Final Masquerade" and they are still able to rock hard and give fans a high-energy song that they can enjoy.
"Final Masquerade" is the third radio single from their sixth studio album The Hunting Party, and Linked Park composed it themselves. It was co-produced by Brad Delson and Mike Shinoda from the band, as well as Grammy-winning producer Emile Haynie. It is the follow-up to "Until It's Gone."
The song commences with haunting drum sounds and it evolves into a rock power-anthem, where Chester Bennington nails the lead vocals, and leaves his rock fans wanting more. It includes strong synths, hooks and electrifying guitars. Their music video is dramatic and intense and has a neat concept behind it, where viewers feel as if they are watching a mini-film. Mark Pellington did a brilliant job directing it.
"All I ever wanted, the secrets that you keep, All you've ever wanted, the truth I couldn't speak," Bennington sings.
On August 19, Linkin Park will be bringing their "Carnivores" tour to the Nikon at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, New York, along with such bands as AFI and 30 Seconds to Mars.
The Verdict
Overall, Linkin Park's latest single "Final Masquerade" earns 4 out of 5 stars. They are not afraid to try different things musically, and their risks have paid off yet again. It is certain to be a highlight at their upcoming live show in Jones Beach, New York. It is no wonder that Linkin Park is one of the best-loved groups in the social media world.
