Review: 'Legends of Oz' star Lea Michele's album 'Louder' debuts in Top 5

By Jeannie Stokowski-Bisanti     Mar 14, 2014 in Music
'Legends of Oz' star Lea Michele’s first solo album 'Louder' made Number 4 on the Billboard 200. Michele's covered songs have topped the Billboard Charts numerous times and, with her fellow Glee cast mates, she has brought three soundtracks to Number 1
Throughout her nearly five years on Glee, Michele has belted out tunes from Journey, Salt-N-Pepa, Paramore and Britney Spears to the likes of Celine Dion, Kelly Clarkson, Alicia Keyes, and even the Beatles.
Sure to be hits are songs "On My Way," "Thousand Needles," "You’re Mine" and "Burn With You," which enable Michele to show off her voice but still keep the contemporary feel.
The album sold 60,000 copies in it’s first week. The Broadway veteran is the voice of Kansas' legendary Dorothy Gale in the upcoming release of the 3D animated musical film Legends of Oz: Dorothy's Return. The film will debut in United States and United Kingdom theaters this May.
