article imageReview: Lee Ann Womack back with new music video for 'The Way I'm Livin'' Special

By Markos Papadatos     Sep 10, 2014 in Music
Country star Lee Ann Womack released the music video for the title track single of her forthcoming studio album "The Way I'm Livin'." Her honey-rich voices make this is a must-listen track.

Get More:

Womack is a fearless country vocalist who is not afraid to take risks and reinvent herself. Her new music video, directed by Roger Pistole, is a bit intense and more provocative than anything she has ever done, yet it works well for her, as she is belting out the tune in an abandoned house. It features a few scenes of eccentric dancing and even real snakes. What makes it even more appealing and interesting for the listener/viewer is that it is left open to interpretation.
One thing's for sure. This song is undeniably traditional country music, which is a rarity these days on the radio airwaves. This song is the title track of her first album in seven years, which will be released on September 23 on Womack's new record label, Sugar Hill Records. Digital Journal summed up the song with one word: mesmerizing, and rightfully so.
While the song's music video might put some viewers in a trance, the real asset is the vocal itself, which is hypnotic thanks to her honey-rich voice. It is no wonder that Womack had made Digital Journal's list of Top 10 angelic female voices. Out of all of the females in country, Lee Ann Womack is the one to watch. I would not be surprised if she garners a nomination for the 2015 "Top Female Vocalist" Academy of Country Music (ACM) award, with the release of her new studio album.
