Premiere: Kady Z releases gorgeous new video ‘Crush Gone Wrong’ (Includes first-hand account)

Kady Z truly allows her mellifluous vocals to do all the talking on this tune, and it shines across. Her voice is raw and as powerful as ever. It is reminiscent of pop star Carly Rae Jepsen meets dance songstress Robyn (“Dancing On My Own”), and these comparisons ought to be taken as compliments. Her video is filmed in black and white, giving it an authentic feel. It is a track from her latest EP.

“I’ve got your picture, Tattooed on my arm, no need for alarm, I hope you like it, My face is there too, right there next to you,” Kady Z sings, as she showcases a great deal of vulnerability.

In its music video, she is accompanied on piano, shakers and on acoustic guitar, all of which help bring out her crystalline voice. The lyrics are warm, moving and listeners can easily relate to them.

The Verdict

Overall, Kady Z’s new monochromatic music video for “Crush Gone Wrong” garners 4.5 out of 5 stars. It is a piano-driven ballad, with a haunting feel to it. Fans that enjoyed her hit single “Beautiful Disaster” will certainly be pleased with “Crush Gone Wrong,” since it displays a different side to her artistry. She deserves to be heard on the radio airwaves.
