By Markos Papadatos     Apr 3, 2015 in Music
New York - Country star Justin Moore performed at New York City's Madison Square Garden on March 28, where he opened for headliner Miranda Lambert.
He shared the stage with country songstress Ashley Monroe, as part of Lambert's "Certified Platinum" tour.
Moore opened his set with his upbeat love tune, the spitfire "Point At You," and it was followed by "How I Got To Be This Way."
He continued with yet another love song, the mid-tempo yet chart-topping single "Til My Last Day," and he changed the pace with the poignant tear-jerking ballad "If Heaven Wasn't So Far Away," which he dedicated to our fallen heroes. "I want to send this out to all our military men and women and I out to all of the victims, and the families of the victims of 9/11," he said. All of the fans lit up their iPhone lights during this vocal performance,
Moore accompanied himself on acoustic guitar on the witty "Bait A Hook," and he covered "Small Town Throwdown," his collaboration with Thomas Rhett and Brantley Gilbert.
For his single "Lettin' the Night Roll," he switched over to electric guitar and it was a fun tune that resonated well with the fans. He closed with his signature song, his autobiographical "Small Town USA."
The Verdict
Overall, Justin Moore's concert at Madison Square Garden was a great deal of fun. He was able to warm up the stage for reigning "Female Vocalist of the Year" Miranda Lambert. He always put on a high-energy country-rock show. He earned 4.5 out of 5 stars.
