Review: Joel Adams phenomenal on ‘Please Don’t Go’ single and music video (Includes first-hand account)

A native of Australia, Adams is 19 years old and he wrote and composed “Please Don’t Go” by himself. He co-produced and recorded the song with Derek Fuhrmann of WindUp Songs.

His music video, directed by Chuong Vo, is visually striking and it may be seen below on his official YouTube channel.

“Now please don’t go, most nights I hardly sleep when I’m alone, now please don’t go, oh no, I think of you whenever I’m alone,” Adams sings.

His rich vocals are reminiscent of singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes meets Charlie Puth, and these comparisons ought to be taken as major compliments.

The Verdict

Overall, Joel Adams showcases a great deal of talent and charisma on “Please Don’t Go.” One can easily tell that he sings from the heart, and he maintains great control over his voice. His tone is crystalline and his lyrics are warm. He deserves to make it big in the contemporary pop music scene. His single garners an A rating.
