article imageReview: Jiggley Jones releases new haunting radio single 'Walk On Me' Special

By Markos Papadatos     May 2, 2014 in Music
Singer-songwriter Jiggley Jones has independently released a new radio single and music video for "Walk On Me" on April 14.
Jones is originally from Coatesville, Pennsylvania, and his music has elements of Americana, alternative country and folk. He is a true veteran in the music industry, having penned over 100 songs. His songs have charted on both the Americana Music Association charts, as well as the Roots Music Report chart. Jones has played at the CMA Fest in Nashville last June, as well as The Bitter End in New York City, among other venues.
"Walk On Me" has a haunting vibe that is reminiscent of a quintessential vocal by newly inducted Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Peter Gabriel meets Dan Tyminski (from Alison Krauss and Union Station).
In this song, the narrator admits to being walked all over, but in the end, he still loves the other person that did the walking. "You walked on me before, you'll walk on me again but I love you," Jones sings, prior to questioning himself with "What can I do?"
This track is featured on his new album and it marks his first release on the independent record label, Lamon Records Nashville, which has a distribution through the Orchid that is owned by Sony. The CD is due on May 5.
In the video, Jones is seen strumming his acoustic guitar, and piano can be heard playing in the background. He sings with a lot of heart and soul. While I was not familiar with Jones' music prior to this tune, I was really glad I did. His vocals are sultry and crisp. "Walk On Me" song garners an A rating.
