article imageReview: Jessie Bridges delights on acoustic song 'Dandelion' Special

By Markos Papadatos     Sep 18, 2014 in Music
Singer-songwriter Jessie Bridges, the daughter of world-renowned actor Jeff Bridges, is absolutely fantastic on her song "Dandelion."
Her vocals are warm, honest and impressive, where the listener can easily recall such acclaimed vocalists and versatile musicians as Colbie Caillat and Sheryl Crow. The fact that she writes her own music adds to her appeal, in addition to her natural beauty. This song's lyrics are conversational, and the listener is met with a wide spectrum of mixed emotions.
"Do I hide the things that burn inside from the friends I know? Do I show the side that's ugly, all the parts I'm workin' on? Or do I just say goodbye, it's over, and move along?" Jessie sings.
On August 29, she played a show at The Paramount in Huntington, New York, with her father and his ever-gifted band, The Abiders, which was absolutely incredible. Not only was she was able to warm up the stage for her Oscar-winning father, but she left an indelible mark in the hearts of the Long Island audience as well.
The Verdict
Overall, Jessie Bridges is a songstress whose music is worth more than just a passing glance. She proves that she can make magic solely with her vocals and acoustic guitar. "Dandelion" garners an A rating and it is the quintessential introduction to Jessie's songwriting and musical talent.
