By Markos Papadatos     Aug 31, 2015 in Music
Country singer James Wesley is back with his newest music video for his single "Hooked Up," which is a neat fishing anthem.
It is well-crafted from start to finish, and Alexander Manning has done an exceptional job directing it. The single is infectious and Wesley's vocals are upbeat and smooth as silk. It is a great ode for the Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament. This was done in partnership with Calcutta, which is one of the most widely recognized brands in the recreational fishing industry.
Wesley's music video made its premiere today on Country Music Television (CMT), where country fans and listeners can check it out by clicking here.
The song was co-written by Todd Morris and Harry Smith, and it tells the story of a blue marlin that is being pursued by fisherman at the Big Rock, and through its music video, Wesley is able to take his fans along with him on a musical adventure.
Most impressive about the single is that a portion of Proceeds from its downloads go towards such charities as "Keep America Fishing Program" and the "Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament."
The Verdict
Kansas native James Wesley has proven time and time again that he is country music's most underrated male artist. "Hooked Up" is another prime gem from him, and his fans will instantly be "hooked" by his latest single. It garners an A rating.
