article imageReview: High Valley shines on new album 'County Line' Special

By Markos Papadatos     Oct 13, 2014 in Music
Canadian country duo High Valley are back with their solid new album "County Line," which is filled with many potential hits.
The album is released tomorrow, October 14. It opens with their stunning, upbeat title track "County Line," which is reminiscent of Florida Georgia Line. It is followed with "Make You Mine," a country-dance collaboration with Grammy winner Ricky Skaggs.
"Be You" is beautiful ballad, while "Fathers and Sons" contains warm and vivid lyrics and it really gives the listener goosebumps. It's certainly one of the best tracks on the album, especially since it captures the relationship between sons and their fathers. It's the perfect ode for Father's Day.
"Farm Girl" is up-tempo and it shows them being able to have a good time. "Why God Made a River" is infectious and another radio-friendly tune, with an Andy Grammer vibe to it. "She's With Me" is quintessential sing-along, which features neat clapping. It closes with the poignant ballad "While The Gettin's Good" and "Rescue You."
The Verdict
Brothers Brad and Curtis Rempel are exceptional on this new album. They soar on harmonies where the listener can recall Rascal Flatts and Diamond Rio. Their songs on this project are quite eclectic. It garners 4.5 out of 5 stars.
